As by tradition, every anniversary my wife and I visit a different country. This year, the honor went to Austria, or more specifically: Salzburg, where as it just so happened the Salzburg festival was being held.

This was our first trip with our daughter, traveling with whom turned out to be quite OK. Of course we needed some more time for feeding, changing diapers, etc., but overall she behaved very well, and we got to enjoy Salzburg's many beautiful sights, despite having to carry the carrier up a few stairs at times.

When we arrived we first visited the city center:

We'd been wanting to visit the Eagle's Nest, Hitler's retreat in the German Alps, which lies not too far from Salzburg. Unfortunately, we had too little time to visit it on Saturday. When we then came there on Sunday morning, we were told it was closed, as it had been struck by lightning… Instead, we visited the lovely Wolfgangsee and took a boat tour there:
